Although withdrawn from the market in the early '00's there is still a
demand for refurbished Nitsuko equipment. Depending on stock levels we
are able to supply handsets to customers, however this is becoming
increasingly difficult and as stock becomes scarce, the price of a
refurbished handset is often more than those of new systems.
The Nitsuko Corporation was founded in 1917 in Japan, and commenced their association with telephony soon after. In Australia the Nitsuko name has a relatively low profile due to the fact that between 1980 and 1995, Telstra® marketed and badged the product as their own.
For over 15 years Nitsuko Telephone Systems were sold in Australia under the guise of the Commander™ N, AN, BN and D systems, and the quality and reliability of these products is well known both by industry and end users alike.
Nitsuko released systems under their own name in the mid 90’s, and these immediately proved themselves successful. In 2001 NEC bought Nitsuko and the product was withdrawn from the market. With thousands of Nitsuko systems installed in Australia, it is true to say that there are more Nitsuko telephone systems in the Australian market than any other brand. At Planet Telecommunications we carry a large range of hard to find Nitsuko handsets and components.
